They say who dares wins, and that was certainly the case for Chris Stowe and Ifran Ahmed on the weekend. Posing as members of Floyd Mayweather’s entourage, these two likely lads from the UK county of Essex managed to blag their way into ringside seats at the “Fight of the Century”.
In addition to making some huge savings – seats for the bout between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao were trading for almost US $1 million a pop – the two got to rub shoulders with celebs like Justin Bieber, Paris Hilton, Nicole Scherzinger and Mark Wahlburg, to name a few.

They even partied the night away with rapper Sean “P Diddy” Combs.
The pair employed a simple but effective strategy for getting past the strict security at the MGM Grand:
- Pick up a couple of ‘cheap’ seats to the fight in the nosebleeds (still around AUD $2,000, but hey).
- Dress up head to toe in Mayweather gear.
- Wait for Mayweather’s entourage to arrive.
- Latch on to the back of said entourage.
- Enjoy 12 rounds of living life like a billionaire at the hottest event in the world.
Stowe told British paper The Sun that the pair were so close to the fight they were hugging Justin Bieber (part of the Mayweather camp) when Mayweather was declared the victor in a unanimous points decision.
“We hung out with Bieber for ages,” Stowe said. “We were hugging him when Floyd was announced the winner. He just thought we were part of The Money Team.”
And apparently Paris Hilton was a big fan of their pommy accents. All in all, it sounds like a pretty successful day for the guys.
