Arguably the most popular television show airing at the moment, Game of Thrones is a total minefield when it comes to spoilers. It seems like every single episode reveals some kind of revelation, be it minor or completely world-shattering.
Not only do you need to worry about stumbling across spoilers on social media, now your phone is out to get you, too.
A service called Spoiled will automatically send text messages to the nominated number with Game of Thrones spoilers each week for just 99 cents. The best part is, it’s totally anonymous, according to the FAQ.
Q – “Will they know where the texts are coming from?”
A – “A man is no one.”
“Do your friends love Game of Thrones, but watch it after it airs? Are you a terrible friend? Great!” says the page.
“For just $0.99, Spoiled will anonymously and ruthlessly text spoilers to your unsuspecting friends after each new episode airs. Afterwards, sit back, relax, and follow Spoiled on Twitter to see how your friends react.”
It’s not a one-off, either, the texts will last for rest of the season. Talk about value for money. Unlucky for you, there’s only one episode left to go.
Why set up such a cruel service? The site says they were inspired by an old Reddit thread where a woman got revenge on her cheating ex-boyfriend by sending him Game of Thrones spoilers every Monday.
Even though the service is based in the US, you can absolutely destroy your friends here, too!
“Yes, our text messaging ravens have learned to cross the narrow sea and now support international numbers!” says the sites FAQ.
Happy spoiling! Just don’t expect them to have any inside information.
“We’re talking about spoilers here, not time travel.”
