Not heading to Splendour this year? Don’t fret, there is still fun to be had. Australia’s leading online wine store Get Wines Direct has you covered with the launch of its new shopping app, AisleOne.
The newly launched app does away with text searches and product lists, replaced instead with a virtual wine store. It’s basically like a bottle-o in the palm of your hand. You beauty!
Moving through the aisles is as easy as swiping left or right across the screen.
Get Wines Direct’s Jordan Muir said that the new app completely reinvents the online wine shopping experience.
“Buying wine is a pleasure purchase – people love browsing through the aisles of their local wine store. Our new shopping app means that for the first time, shoppers can have that same enjoyable experience in an online wine store,” Mr Muir said.
The technology behind the app has been in development for nearly two years, and lets customers browse and shop without making a single keystroke. Instead, customers shop by simply:
- Swiping left or right to browse through the aisles
- Tap on a bottle to see more details
- Drag and drop items into your shopping basket
Mr Muir said Get Wines Direct is a pioneer of the Australian online wine shopping landscape, and the launch of AisleOne continued their history of innovative thinking.
“The popularity of online wine shopping in Australia continues to surge ahead, outpacing overall ecommerce growth. We think our new app reinvents the online wine landscape in this country.
“With nearly 40 million bottles of wine sold, it’s clear our customers already love us for our brilliant range of great value Australian wines.
“We think this new platform will strike a chord not only with our existing customers, but with all Australians looking for a more intuitive and quicker way to buy their favourite wines online.”
